I've been using this Peavey XRD 680 for live applications since 1997 and it is still as quiet as a church mouse. In the studio, I bypass the mixing section by plugging straight into the two 150 watt amps featured in the XRD. PA1 left and PA2 right. The amp above the XRD is a Behringer Powerplay Pro-XL headphone amp. This thing will power 3 phones on each of it's 4 amps. Each amp has a two band eq, left and right mute functions and a cool little feature that allows you to monitor the left or right signal in both ears. It has two main inputs to all four amps. (I like this feature for monitoring click tracks straight from the drum machine). There are also stereo aux ins for each amp. (Great for running fx sends to a phone).
