Preamps are a must with my soundcard.
Wheather it be a mixing console or an external unit like the Art Tube MP
pictured above (far left). The unit has a built in +48V phantom power supply
and phase reverse feature. It is a tube preamp and functions on a single
12AX7. To the far right is the Tube MP Studio. It has the same features
as the MP with added OPL ciruitry and an output VU meter. The frequency responses
and maximum gains differ between the two also. The Tube MP covers 10hz-20khz
with 10db more max gain. The MP Studio covers 10hz-30khz. ART
